Hail cement plant Launching on May 5 Print E-mail
 A cement plant will be launched in Hail on the 5th of May under the instructions of Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen Emir of Hail in order to meet the needs of the region of such basic material for building.

Prince Saud revealed recently that the majority of industrial projects in the city of Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musaid will be dedicated to food processing, and that works in the city's airport are currently executed.

His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen Emir of Hail has recently presided the region’s Council meeting in the presence of the President of Saudi Arabian Mining Company "Ma'aden " Dr. Abdullah Al-Dabbagh and director of governmental affairs Adil Muleihi as well as members of the region’s council.

Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen said that the region relies a lot on the role of company “Ma'aden” authorized mining investments in providing job and trade opportunities in Hail so as to exploit natural resources of different metals Hail owns. HE wished that this visit would have good result and that the work would be quickly performed to meet the hopes and aspirations of citizens.

Dr. Dabbagh talked about the new projects and future plans of “Ma'aden”, pointing out that the establishment of such industrial projects and infrastructure will support the development, pave the way for attracting domestic and foreign investments and enhance new industrial and mining project in the region. 
He said that the work is currently under way to start Amonizait project in a site belonging to the province of Ghazala, South Hail which one of the industrial minerals projects that will convert crude Amonizait to caustic Amonezia and dormant Amonezia as well as some other types of bulk refractories with high quality of physical properties and chemical.

The crude Amonizait in this region is characterized by a high degree of purity and contains a very small percentage of impurities. It is planned for this project to start its commercial production in November 2010.

Dabbagh added that the company started the effective production from kaolin quarry and low-grade bauxite in Zoubira in 2008, and completed the drilling program for all areas of the quarry last year, resulting an increase in the proven reserves at the quarry to 9,2 million tons of  low-grade bauxite and 1,9 million tons of crude kaolin which led to a rise in the longevity of the quarry to more than 12 years. The company conducted also a study to add new technology and crushers to produce minute volumes of kaolin for use in phosphate minerals project.

Dabbagh said that aluminium metals project proceeds as planned and the company “Ma'aden” aims to exploit the resources of bauxite existing between Hail and Qassim Have been obtained all licenses required for the project, to produce aluminium for the local and global market.
