Dr. Khaled Khankan

Khaled Khankan received his Ph.D. in Computing Sciences from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). His primary research interests include mobile computing, multimodal interaction and software architecting. He is currently a Research Fellow and a member of the Health Informatics, Computation and Innovation Lab (HICIL) at the University of Sydney (USYD). His research at HICIL focuses on the intersection between innovative technologies and health care, particularly the potential role of mobile technologies in this domain.

Dr Khankan previously held positions as a senior software engineer in international companies, including Integrated Research (ASX:IRI), where he has developed many insights into the software engineering life cycle and participated in architecting and developing a number of significant components for products such as PROGNOSIS®.

Khaled Khankan is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Mobility of Systems, Users, Data and Computing (ACM SIGMOBILE) and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
